Helical Solutions VoluMill Video 1045 HH Steel (28rc) Running at 313 IPM and 192 IPM

The first tool cutting was our HSVR-C-R-40500-R-3. It's dimensions are 1/2 x 1/2 x 1-1/4 loc x 3 oal. It is a 4 flute, variable, high performance carbide end mill with AlTiN coating. It ran at .500 depth of cut, .125 width of cut, 1467 surface feet per minute, 11200 revolutions per minute, .007 chip load per tooth, and 313 inches per minute. The second tool cutting was our HSVR-C-R-40375-R-3. It's dimensions are 3/8 x 3/8 x 7/8 loc x 3 oal. It is a 4 flute, variable, high performance carbide end mill with AlTiN coating. It ran at .500 depth of cut, .0937 width of cut, 1100 surface feet per minute, 11200 revolutions per minute, .004 chip load per tooth, and 192 inches per minute. The material being cut is 1045 Half Hard (28rc) Steel.

It ran at 1.000 depth of cut, .200 width of cut, 2356 surface feet per minute, 18000 revolutions per minute, .00925 chip load per tooth, and programmed feedrate of 500 inches per minute.

This was done at the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology.

The second cut was our HAL-C-RN-M-30500-R-0. It's dimensions are 1/2 x 1/2 x 5/8 loc x 2-1/4 lbs x 4 oal. It is a 3 flute, reduced neck aluminum geometry, high performance carbide end mill. It ran at .500 depth of cut, .200 width of cut, 1950 surface feet per minute, 15000 revolutions per minute, .011 chip load per tooth, and feedrate of 500 inches per minute.
